The following policies and procedures will be implemented for this year's event. With your help, we can enjoy a safe holiday 5K while practicing proper social distancing, mask wearing and safe event practices. It can still be a great day!

Please read the changes below
prior to registering so you are informed.

  • The 5K will be is located in the west quadrant of Military Park (IUPUI campus). The park provides plenty of space to social distance before and after the event

  • Masks will be required for all pre- and post-race activities but not required when running or walking

  • Bibs will be assigned when you check in to expedite packet pickup (no searching for names on envelopes). Bib assignments and swag pickup locations will be socially distanced

  • Wave starts will be implemented with 30 seconds between each wave

  • Each wave will be restricted in size to provide enough space to keep 6ft a part while standing in the corral. The waves will roll quickly so be ready to enter and go!

  • Gear Check and Beer Garden will not be offered

  • Participants will be required to retrieve medals and finisher's food from tables at the finish line (verses volunteers distributing)

  • Water cups and donuts will placed on tables. Volunteers will not be handing out either at the stops

  • Awards will be distributed at the results tent. Multiple lines will be implemented to provide 6 ft spacing

  • Post-Race Party at Metazoa will be limited to 110 (the current COVID capacity of Metazoa). A RSVP will be sent to registered participants to reserve their space (no charge to rsvp)

  • Sanitizer stations will be placed throughout the grounds

  • All volunteers will be required to wear masks and gloves
